Stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma did not have a good time in the last few months owing to The Kapil Sharma Show going off air and his falling health. Now, he is hoping for a change with his upcoming film ‘Firangi’. Not much has been revealed about the movie, but with the trailer going to be released tomorrow, his fans are looking forward to know more about the film. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the new poster of Firangi and wrote, “New poster of Kapil Sharma’s #Firangi… Trailer out tomorrow [24 Oct 2017]… Directed by Rajiev Dhingra… 24 Nov 2017 release.”
‘Firangi’ is a period drama comedy set in 1920. It is directed by Rajiv Dhingra. Kapil Sharma is also producing the film apart from playing the main role. Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill also star alongside him. The poster is quite intriguing. It entices, but does not reveal much. We can only hope that Kapil’s second movie will also tickle the funny bones of the audience like his debut film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’.

The poster shows Kapil Sharma sitting comfortably on the back seat of an open-air antique four-wheeler vehicle and smiling at the camera. He is wearing what seems like a cross between a cop’s uniform and army fatigues. The vehicle seems to be from early 20th century, complete with a squeeze horn. The colour palette is interesting and brings back the hazy and dusty days of the British Raj. But how is Kapil Sharma, who most likely plays an Indian, being treated like a royal? The first poster, which released on October 12, had shown him, dressed in the same clothes, kicking what appeared to be a British civilian with blue suit and round hat.
Firangi is slated to be released on November 24, 2017.
