Staying in sync with the mood of the film, the makers of Rock On 2 have decided to launch the trailer of their movie in the most stand-alone fashion. Instead of selecting a swish five-star hotel, they will be launching its trailer at Bandra’s Carter Road’s iconic Amphitheatre in Mumbai, in the presence of hundreds of fans. The team will also be conducting live concerts all across the country. Lead actors Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli are reprising their roles in the sequel, while actors Shraddha Kapoor and Shashank Arora are the new additions to the cast.
The Rock On franchise has so far treated us with amazing songs and tunes like Pichle Saat Dino Mein, Tum Ho Toh, Rock On and Sindbad The Sailor. Now the team is ready with its part two. The fans have until now got an insight into the new film through its songs which have been released online, apart from its teaser. Playing less on the melodrama and adding a dose of passion, friendship, emotion and music, the teaser of Rock On 2 was a trip down the memory lane.
Director Abhishek Kapoor had entertained us with its prequel almost eight years ago. The first one ended on the note that its band Magik did not perform after the death of one its members Rob, who suffered from a tumour. But in the second instalment, we are set to see exactly what marked the return of Magik on the stage and all that happened in the lives of its members in these eight years.
