Salman Khan’s magnetic presence and Sooraj Barjatya’s magical directorial touch will be augmented by a third element which will make ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ a grand spectacle this Diwali season.
Whether it is the royal palace looking magnificent both in day and night or a submerged village for a flood sequence in the film or the football song sequence, Prime Focus has created some astounding special effects that proposes to make the film a visual treat.
Talking to The IndianExpress.com , Merzin Tavaria, Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of Prime focus said, “We have worked very closely on most of Salman Khan starrers from ‘Tumko Na Bhool Payenge’ to his other biggies like ‘Tere Naam’, ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Partner’ , ‘Kick’, ‘Dabangg-2’, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and the recent ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. We have provided complete post production services for nearly all his big hits year after year and that only goes to show the connection we have with his films.”
“We also share a special bond with director Sooraj Barjatya having worked on Rajshri’s earlier production where he was involved in a creative capacity. With Sooraj returning back to direction after nine years, he entrusted us totally entrusted us with 80% of the film’s VFX and DI work.”
The other special effects that ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ will reportedly see include a special cityscape creation, crowed multiplication for a couple of sequences and a few touches during the climax action sequences. There are also various palace set extensions and sky addition to the songs involving Salman and Sonam.
Prime Focus has also created a couple of VFX sequences for the film which they claim would be otherwise impossible to implement in the real world or cost wise would be not be practical to realise.
