We have three very interesting films releasing this Friday – multi-starrer ‘Ungli’, Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Mannara’s debut film, ‘Zid’ and Adil Hussain’s political satire, ‘Zed Plus’.
The film revolves around five friends who have decidedly grown tired of corruption and the passive government. They take the law in their own hands, serving justice to those who deserve it.
Based on the Malayalam film, ‘4 the People’, ‘Ungli’ also stars Neil Bhoopalam, Neha Dhupia, Arunoday Singh, Kangana Ranaut and Angad Bedi.
Next we have director Vivek Agnihotri’s erotic thriller, ‘Zid’ featuring newcomers Karanvir Sharma and Mannara. Actress Shraddha Das, who has mainly appeared in South films, is also a part of the project.
Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, who is producing the film, maintains that ‘Zid’ is a young love story with a thriller narrative that also boasts of some good sensuality quotient.
The songs from the bold musical thriller have become quite popular with the audience, however, it remains to be seen how well the film does.
And, lastly we have Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s directorial venture, ‘Zed Plus’. Based in Rajasthan, the political satire tells the tale of how a coalition government is on the verge of collapse, due to its partners being constantly at loggerheads with each other.
Produced by Mukund Purohit and Mandira Kashyap, ‘Zed Plus’ stars Adil Hussain, Mona Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Sanjay Mishra and Rahul Singh among others.
