Popular filmmaker of the 70s and 80s,Raj Tilak passed away on October 6 after suffering from septicaemia.
According to his son Vishal,the director had complained about an excruciating back pain and was admitted at Lilavati Hospital in suburban Mumbai. Post a spine surgery,the filmmaker developed an infection and hence,was shifted to the ICU. Raj’s funeral was held on the same day itself at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai.
Raj has directed bigwigs like Shashi Kapoor,Sanjeev Kumar,Rekha and Parveen Babi. He has been an active member of the Producers Guild too.
