Demand for ban on ‘Hate Story 2’ made in Karnataka Assembly

State Home Minister K J George said he has asked the police to examine the film and submit a report.

Raising the issue during the debate on increasing rape incidents in the state, Datta said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the Home Minister should direct the police to examine the “steamy” scenes depicted in the film.

The film has already courted controversy after the Censor Board had objected to the sex scenes as part of the trailer and music video on television channels, which prompted the producers to edit certain portions.

“I have asked Police Commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar to examine the alleged steamy scenes in the film, and action would be taken accordingly after submission of a report,” George said.

The movie stars Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali.
