Deepika Padukone shares biggest concern for daughter Dua, reveals personal and professional goals: ‘Being a survivor of…’

Deepika Padukone made headlines as she attended the recent Forbes 30/50 Global Summit in Abu Dhabi. The Om Shanti Om actor sat down for an interview at the event and spoke about various subjects, including her personal and professional goals. During the interaction, Deepika also shared her biggest concern for her daughter, Dua.

Speaking at the event, Deepika clarified that her personal goal is to achieve peace of mind, something she actively practices every day. She said, “Being a survivor of mental illness, for me the goal is always to be at peace of mind because there is nothing more important than that and easier said than done because it requires work.” Talking about her professional aspirations, she added, “On the professional side, I see how can I use my influence in various platforms, including the films that I choose to do, to create a positive impact.”

The Love Aaj Kal actor was also asked how she wants to be remembered. She reflected on her mindset, saying, “My father told me that whatever you do, people remember you for the human being that you were. So, for me, whatever I do, I want to be remembered for the human being that I was.”

Dua is definitely on Deepika’s mind all the time. When asked what she googled last, the actor admitted that it was a parenting-related question. “Definitely some mommy question like ‘when will my baby stop spitting up’ or something to that effect,” she revealed.

Balancing her career while being a new mom isn’t easy, which is why Deepika shared how she spends her off days. She admitted that she mostly catches up on sleep, goes for massages, and spends time with her daughter.

On the professional front, Deepika was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again and Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD. She welcomed her daughter, Dua, with husband Ranveer Singh in September last year. The couple has kept their little munchkin away from the public eye and does not allow photographers to click her pictures.
