Deepika Padukone gives perfect Parisian vibes in her historic debut as Louis Vuitton Prize jury; Ranveer Singh can’t take his eyes off ‘hot mama’

Along with the pictures, she added a caption that read, “Congratulations to all the winners! I cannot wait for the world to witness your magic!” Ranveer, who never misses a chance to cheer her on, left an adorable yet playful comment on her post. He wrote, “Hot Mama (fire emoji).” Deepika and Ranveer became parents to daughter Dua Padukone last year, who’s going to turn one year old this Monday on September 8.

Deepika and Ranveer began dating on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2013 romantic comedy Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela. They reunited on screen in Bhansali’s 2015 period romance Bajirao Mastani. The two tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in Lake Como, Italy in 2018. They’ve also shared screen space in Homi Adajania’s 2014 road movie Finding Fanny, Rohit Shetty’s 2022 comedy Cirkus, and most recently, Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Singham Again last year.

While Ranveer has been a part of Shetty’s star-studded cop universe since his 2018 standalone movie Simmba, Deepika entered the universe as Shakti Shetty aka Lady Singham in Singham Again. At the trailer launch of the film, Ranveer revealed that his wife was actually pregnant with Dua while filming Singham Again. While she gave the event a miss, Ranveer revealed his job as a new father is to take care of Dua at night when Deepika sleeps.

Deepika was in talks to star opposite Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s pan-India action thriller Spirit. However, she reportedly opted out over Vanga being unable to accommodate eight-hour work shifts for the new mom. She was consequently replaced by Triptii Dimri, who previously worked with Vanga in the 2023 blockbuster family crime drama Animal.

Padukone soon announced she’ll play the leading lady, alongside Mrunal Thakur, in her Jawan director Atlee’s next pan-India action thriller, opposite Allu Arjun. Meanwhile, Ranveer will next headline Aditya Dhar’s action thriller Dhurandhar, slated to release in cinemas on December 6. He’ll also star in Farhan Akhtar’s long-awaited crime drama Don 3.
