The upcoming film Cocktail 2 has been hitting the headlines since the last few weeks. Director Homi Adajania is all set for a sequel to the 2012 hit Cocktail and the film will star Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. A few BTS photos and videos are being shared online both by the film’s team and also by fans. A clip of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon spotted filming for Cocktail 2 in Italy is also taking a the rounds on social media.
Shahid and Kriti, in a recently leaked clip from the Cocktail 2 sets, can be seen in colorful costumes. Shahid was dressed in a red and white shirt and shorts, while Kriti wore a yellow and pink top bikini top with shirt which she paired with a skirt with tassels. The film’s shoot is happening in Sicily, Italy.
Shahid and Kriti’s have earlier worked together in the romantic comedy, Teri Baato Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and fans are excited to see them again on the screens.

Director Homi Adanania has been sharing some photos on his Instagram stories as well. He recently shared photos of Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna from the sets. Homi’s wife and stylist, Anaita Shroff Adajania, was also seen with Rashmika in the latest photo. He also posted clicks of Shahid and Kriti separately.
Sharing Shahid’s photo, Homi wrote, “Such good energy brothalov.” Resharing a photo by the director, Kriti wrote, “Me looking at all the pizzas I can’t eat!.”

Homi Adajania had earlier posted a monochrome portrait of Kriti, hiding her face with a sticker that read, “Work In Progress.” He added, “@kritisanon #Thescicilianchapter #Cocktail2,” teasing an exciting new chapter in the beloved franchise. Fans were eagerly waiting for Kriti to react to his story, and she wrote, “This is gonna be a liberating journey…I can feel it..”
Shahid has also shared some photos. “New Beginnings!!! Cocktail 2,” the actor wrote and tagged Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon in the picture, revealing that he is joined by his leading ladies on the shoot of the much-anticipated drama.
The sequel, Cocktail 2 is backed by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and is written by Luv Ranjan. The film is expected to come out in the latter half of 2026. Plot details of Cocktail 2 are still under wraps and not much has been revealed about the story so far.
The original Cocktail (2012) starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty; it was well received for its modern romantic themes, music, and style. Cocktail 2 is being viewed as a spiritual sequel—meaning it may carry forward the spirit, themes, or sensibilities rather than being a direct continuation.

On the work front, Shahid has just completed his film Vishal Bhardwaj while Kriti Sanon also wrapped up Tere Ishq Mein with Dhanush. Rashmika Mandanna was last seen in Kuberaa and she too has multiple projects in her kitty.
