The reincarnation comedy Housefull 4 seems to be maintaining a good grip at the box office. The multi-starrer has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in just five days of its release.
As per BollywoodHungama, the film has now earned Rs 128.17 crore.
The Diwali release of the year is the fourth film in the Housefull franchise that started in 2010. While Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have appeared in all the films of the franchise, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde and Kriti Kharbanda are the new additions to the cast.
The extended festival holidays seem to have worked in the film’s favour.
The makers shared, “Being a partial holiday on Tuesday due to Bhai Dooj festivities – Mumbai, Delhi-NCR-UP, Rajasthan, CP, CI territories have contributed majorly on Day5.”
The film got mixed reviews by the audience and critics. The Indian Express film critic Shubhra Gupta gave Housefull 4 zero stars. She wrote in her review, “The Akshay Kumar starrer offers nothing that makes sense.”
