Anshula Kapoor is engaged! The entrepreneur and daughter of Boney Kapoor and his late wife Mona Shourie Kapoor took to Instagram to announce her engagement to boyfriend Rohan Thakkar. She shared stunning photos from the proposal, where Rohan got down on one knee to pop the question in New York’s iconic Central Park.
In an Instagram post, Anshula shared how she met her future husband on a dating app. The couple began talking at 1:15 am on a ‘random Tuesday’, and Rohan proposed to her at exactly the same time three years later. Sharing the engagement news with her followers, she wrote, “We met on an app. Started talking on a random Tuesday at 1.15AM. We spoke until 6am that morning. And somehow, even back then, it felt like the beginning of something that mattered. 3 years later, in my favourite city, in front of the castle in Central Park, he proposed!”
Anshula Kapoor also confessed that she didn’t believe in fairytales until she met Rohan Thakkar. She wrote, “At exactly 1.15 AM India time! And somehow the world paused just long enough for the moment to feel like magic. Just the quiet kind of love that feels like home. I’ve never been the girl who believed in fairytales.. but what @rohanthakkar1511 gave me that day was better. Because it was intentional. Thoughtful. Real. Us. I said yes. ❤️ Through ugly tears, shaky laughs, and the kind of happiness I can’t put into words. Because since 2022, it’s always been you. I’m engaged to my best friend!!! My safe place. My person. Fav boy, fav city… and now, my fav YES! 💍🗽❤️♾️ (First meal after had to be shake shack because our first conversation was around the love of the shroom burger! IYKYK 😋)”

Over the past few years, Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar have been spotted on several holidays and dinner dates together. The couple even vacationed with Anshula’s brother, actor Arjun Kapoor. Anshula made their relationship Instagram-official in 2023 with a post featuring Rohan.
Who is Rohan Thakkar?
Rohan Thakkar is a scriptwriter. According to his LinkedIn profile, he currently works as a writer with Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment on a freelance basis. He studied at UCLA and holds a Master’s degree in Playwriting and Screenwriting from the New York Film Academy.
