Bollywood mourns the demise of film producer Champak Jain

Champak Jain produced many hit films including Akshay Kumar starrer Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Josh, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Bollywood film producer and Venus Records and Tapes co-owner Champak Jain passed away on Thursday. His funeral will be held today at Santa Cruz crematorium in Mumbai.

Jain produced many hit films including Akshay Kumar starrer Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Josh, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. After news of the film producer’s demise emerged, Bollywood celebrities like Sonu Sood, Mika Singh and Ashoke Pandit took to Twitter to express their condolences. 

Actor Sonu Sood tweeted, “Really sad to know about the sudden demise of Champak Jain Ji. He was such a noble soul. Had such fond memories of him. My condolences to the entire Venus family, Rattan Jain Ji, Ganesh Jain ji RIP Champak sir.”

Singer Mika Singh posted on Twitter, “Shocked and extremely saddened to hear about the passing of my very dear friend Mr Champak Jain, the owner of Venus Music. He was a very kind and helpful man. May God bless his soul, RIP,” he tweeted. 

Politician and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Sanjay Nirupam shared on Twitter, “Deeply saddened to hear about untimely death of Champak Jain. He was a dear friend of mine. I have lot of fond memories of his. He was gem of person. My heartfelt condolences to his family members and whole Venus group.#ChampakJain.”

Actor and politician Gurpreet Kaur Chaddha shared a candid picture of Champak Jain on Twitter. “Very sorry to hear the untimely demise of Shri #Champakjain ji of #Venus group. He was a most humble and grounded soul known for helping the new talents of the industry. #RIP,” the caption read.

Indian Film & Television Director’s Association president Ashoke Pandit tweeted, “Extremely sad to know that Our friend #ChampakJain is no more. Champak ji belongs to the family who own #Venus music company who have also produced super hit films. A great human being. Industry will miss him.ओम् शांति !.”

“Extremely sad and shocked to learn of the untimely demise of #ChampakJain [of #Venus music company]… Extremely humble and soft-spoken, Champak ji will be missed… Heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family… Rest in peace,” film trade analyst Taran Adarsh said via Twitter.
