Bobby Deol was recently announced as one of the actors to join the hit on-screen jodi Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the third installment of the hit franchise, Race. Now, the actor has expressed his excitement with a tweet in which he wrote that he is extremely excited to be part of the team.

Bobby, who made a comeback to big screen with the recently released film “Poster Boys”, took to Twitter to thank Ramesh Taurani for welcoming him to the team. “Let’s race along @RameshTaurani… It feels great to be a part of the team!! #Race3,” wrote the 50-year-old actor.

Apart from Salman and Bobby, the third installment in the Race franchise also features Jacqueline Fernandez. Salman has replaced Saif Ali Khan, who was part of the first two installments which released in 2008 and 2013, respectively. The actor would be playing the lead in the action-thriller. However, Jacqueline is not new to the franchise. The Judwaa 2 actor had starred in the 2013’s Race 2 in which she romanced Saif.

Abbas-Mustan directed the first two films, but Remo D’ Souza will helm the third movie. The film is all set to hit the screens on Eid of 2018.

When asked about Salman replacing Saif, the latter sounded unaffected and in fact, claimed that Salman is the right choice.

Saif earlier told, “Ramesh ji told me about this last year that he wants to make Race 3 but as a new movie with a new cast. We spoke about it and I love Ramesh ji. Who better than Salman Khan for this? I wish both of them luck. But I haven’t been approached.”
