Salman Khan’s latest release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is taking the Box Office by storm, making it to the much coveted Rs 100 crore club in the opening weekend itself. It’s no surprise that the actor has a huge fan following and typically his Bollywood masala flicks are loved by the masses who gather in huge numbers to watch the superstar do what he does best on screen – entertain!

Salman Khan remains untouchable at the top of the Rs 100 crore club list with eight Rs 100 crore films under his belt – ‘Dabangg’, ‘Dabangg 2’, ‘Ready’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Jai Ho’, ‘Kick’ and now Kabir Khan’s directorial venture, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.

Salman Khan’s mantra to success is no secret – the actor chooses to release his films on the festival of Eid, which has always proved to be not just lucky for Salman, but extremely lucrative as well.

‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ made Rs 27.25 crore on its opening day and jumped to Rs 36.50 cr on day two of it’s release. Sunday saw a further rise of Rs 38.75 crore, bringing the total up to Rs 102.60 crore in its opening weekend.

Salman Khan’s previous release, ‘Kick’, also starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui minted a whopping Rs 50 crore in two days of its release. It opened to mixed response from critics but earned nearly Rs 27 crore on the opening day. The first collection beat all of Salman’s previous records except ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (Rs 32.93 cr).

Though it collected Rs 83 crore in its opening weekend. it was unable to break the record of two of Salman Khan’s previous starrers – ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Bodyguard’. While ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ made Rs 100.16 crore in the opening weekend, ‘Bodyguard’ collected Rs 88.75 crore.

‘Dabangg’ and ‘Dabangg 2’ minted around Rs 48.50 crore and Rs 65 crore respectively. Salman Khan’s ‘Jai Ho’ also failed to make a Rs 100 crore opening weekend, earning Rs 60.68 crore in the opening weekend.

Other actors besides the Khan trinity, who have also tasted success with the elite Rs 100 crore club include Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh among others.
