Archana Puran Singh-Parmeet Sethi’s son now flies first class; she’s in business wondering if she parented too well
Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi were proud parents as their son Aaryaman and daughter-in-law-to-be Yogita Bihani travelled first class to the UK as they themselves bought the comparatively cheaper business class.

For years, Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi had a rule in their household: the kids fly economy, the parents fly business. The rule was simple: “Earn your livelihood, earn your respect. You definitely need to earn the business class ticket.” Their parenting philosophy is in keeping with the vibe of their vlogs — dad Parmeet cracks terrible jokes, mom Archana laughs while sons roll their eyes. Everyone eats street food and argues about chole bhature rankings. It’s the kind of content that makes you forget you’re watching a couple worth crores pretending to be just like you. The Sethi family has turned their YouTube channel into a second career by performing relatability for 700,000 subscribers.
Their son Aaryamann also followed them with his own vlog, Aary Vlogs where he features his family and fiancee, actor Yogita Bihani. Aaryamann has also been trying to make it as an actor and has featured in ad campaigns. After a long break, he returned with his vlog as the family travelled to the United Kingdom for a family holiday.
The vlog also marked something of an epoch for the family which had earlier made news for the fact that while Archana and Parmeet travelled business, they made their sons fly economy. The couple had a rule, their sons had to earn flying business, calling it a privilege. In the latest vlog, while Aaryamann and Yogita travelled first class — spending their own money for travel — the parents travelled by business class. For comparison, a British Airways Mumbai to London First Class flight during the end of December will cost around Rs 3,00,000 while Business will cost around Rs 1,50,000-Rs 1,80,000.
The blog begins with the family at the Mumbai airport, where they announced the return of Aaryamann’s vlog after a hiatus. They were also accompanied by their other son Ayushmann’s friend, Sameeksha.
A happy Parmeet also announced that he is proud of the fact that his son is travelling to London by First Class with his money. Ayushmann said it was his childhood dream to travel First Class. He said he saw on an app that an upgrade to First Class was available and he went for it even though it wasn’t cheap. He said he later realised that while his parents were travelling Business and he offered them his seats but they refused. A happy Parmeet said, “Hamne bahut travel kiya hai par ab teri baari hai. Bahut betha hoon. This is a moment. Sometimes not everything fits but I am happy that my son is travelling with his own money. We have done this many times, mostly when it was for films and it was producer’s money.” He also set aside Aaryaman’s concerns that he was travelling in luxury.
They showed off their seats and Archana joked that while Aaryamann paid so much money, they were only one seat ahead of them. They showed off the luxury Ferragamo goodie bag, menu and how comfortable the seats are. Yogita says she is happy she can take off her shoes and goes through the pyjama set that is offered. They also showed off the food and comfort they enjoyed.
Earlier, the family had revealed that it was only in 2024 that Archana’s son travelled by business class. “Guys, me and Aaryamann are traveling in business class for the first time. So basically, our parents had a rule that they will never give us a business class ticket. They said, ‘You have to earn it’,” he shared. To this, Archana immediately interrupted and said, “And now, you have earned it”. Parmeet also congratulated his sons and said, “Well done boys.” The family was travelling to Switzerland at the time.
