Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, who will be reprising the role of Majnu Bhai in ‘Welcome Back’, said the secret behind his great health and physique at the age of 58, was his positive nature.
The actor, who was smart in brown shirt, trousers and black shades, was in his elements at the press conference held in New Delhi today (September 1).
Anil Kapoor, who is the father of three grown up children Sonam, Rhea and Harshvardhan, was flattered when the journos said he still looked young and had the energy of a teenager.
Anil Kapoor said, “I think one of the reasons I look young is because I’m not dillusional. I’m a very happy person and I love making people happy, if there is any serious situation, I bring positivity into it by doing something or the other. That’s what everyone should do. If I come across any negative person, I make the situation positive by cracking some or the other joke. Many of my friends and directors say, ‘call Anil on the sets, he will make a positive atmosphere,’ and I think that’s the secret.

The actor is in Delhi for the next two days for the promotions of his upcoming movie ‘Welcome Back’ .
When asked about the same, Anil Kapoor said, “It feels so good to listen to this. I feel that somewhere it is my genes. It’s not about exercise, it’s not about fitness or diet, it’s your lifestyle. So what’s important is your lifestyle, positivity, not taking stress, sleeping on time.”
Giving it a hilarious twist, the actor said, “I remember people telling me that I was a very boring actor for years, since I didn’t rake any controversy, I didn’t have any affair, but it’s another thing that I was smart enough.”
“My lifestyle has been very good and I would give the maximum credit for the way I am and my fitness and the way I look is genetic. My grandfather, my father, the Punjabi blood and the North India power is in my blood.”
Anil Kapoor also warned John to be careful about what he says as he has to take care of the reviews of the film as well.
“My film ‘Biwi No. 1’ got the worst review ever, which happened to be one of the most hit movies of that year,” said Anil Kapoor. Shruti Haasan interrupted him by saying that it was a remake of his father and noted actor Kamal Haasan’s movie which had also received negative reviews. She said, “That was a remake of my dad’s movie which also got bad reviews. So, the great thing is that legends like Anil Kapoor and Kamal Haasan have something in common.”
Talking about alternative career than in movies, Anil Kapoor hilariously said: “Shruti Haasan is a great actress in Tamil and Telugu films and I have also secured my career in television as the second series of my show will soon be on screens.”
Shruti Haasan, who is trying her hand at an out and out comedy for the first time, said she is an extreme tragic or extreme comedy person so she wanted to try this genre too.
She said, “It’s a genre, I have never tried in Hindi cinema, so that is a thing I am looking forward to. I’ve done different kinds of roles, but I’ve never attempted a full on entertaining comedy, specially a film for the whole family to enjoy. I personally enjoy either severe tragedy or extreme comedy. So i think I’ve fulfilled that funny bone in myself.”
Shruti Haasan will be seen opposite John Abraham for the first time in Anees Bazmee’s ‘Welcome Back’.
