Touted as India’s first ‘female buddy’ film, featuring an ensemble cast of Sarah-Jane Dias, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Anushka Manchanda, Sandhya Mridul, Rajshri Deshpande and Adil Hussain, the movie earned rave reviews in India post its release, and has been lauded at international film festivals.

Although the cast of the prequel will remain the same with one or two new characters, Nalin shared that the “prequel will surely introduce some new and important characters that moulded them on being the women they are”.
