It’s a delight to read Amitabh Bachchan’s blogs as he shares anecdotes from his life. In his recent write-up, the thespian opened up about participating in a boxing match as a kid that left him with a ‘black eye and bleeding nose’. He also revealed that his father, poet-writer Harivansh Rai Bachchan, gave him a book on boxing after that, with a handwritten quote on it.
The Don actor opened up his blog writing about books, and then straightway jumped to this rather sweet story. He shared that he was studying at Allahabad Boys School, in the fourth or fifth standard, while his father was in England for his studies. “I wrote to him that I had entered the Boxing ring in School, to enhance the points of my House, the Blue House .. and that after one successful bout, had got defeated in the next one .. and that my physical condition against a stronger opponent had given me a black eye and a bleeding nose,” he wrote.
