Recounting how he came to be a part of the spread, he wrote, “I was filming a project in LA when I got the call. And I have truly been blessed that this was the 3rd time Anna Wintour who I can never thank enough, has had me out and about for my American Vogue outing. So, we jump on a plane and we play. It was one shot, and the best part about Baz comin in was he shot the whole thing like scenes so, there’s my dreams of working with him coming true. Well, not fully – what? Almost… what??? 🫣. Thank you @voguemagazine and team for being ever so kind. And Blake @blakelively you’re a rockstar, I do hope our paths cross again in good time. Mr Jackman – Aye aye. @thehughjackman. I wana thank @michael_philouze for putting up with my suggestions on styling. Am dressed in a @sabyasachiofficial royal sherwani bandh gala.”

In her post, Blake Lively wrote, “This article feels like, if I was able to attend my own funeral & leave happy, & alive. Thank you @asgreer for your time & gift of words. You met me with curiosity & were generous with that, nothing could mean more to me. @bazluhrmann & @catherinemartindesigns you know this, but you’re two of the artists I’ve admired the most & longest in my lifetime. To get to work with you both, was in the most literal sense, a lifelong dream come true. And you’re even more wonderful as people. You see the best in everyone & everything, & because of that, that’s what you get from everyone. Thank you Anna Wintour for being in my corner since I was more Burbank than NY, & for never encouraging me to wash the Burbank away, but instead remain true to who I am at my core. To the team of people who’ve been through it all with me- This is all of our first September issue. What. A. Moment. Together.”
Blake Lively recently starred in the film It Ends With Us. Ali Fazal has worked in several Hollywood projects, such as Victoria & Abdul, Death on the Nile, and Kandahar.
