Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan, Nithya Menen and Sonakshi Sinha join Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal

Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan, Nithya Menen, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi join Mission Mangal. The film will be helmed by Jagan Shakti.

akshay kumar introduces mission mangal team Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Mangal to have an ensemble cast of actors including Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan and others.

Akshay Kumar, who has signed a three-film deal with Fox Star Studios, has introduced the team of his first collaboration, Mission Mangal, which will be jointly produced by Fox Star Studios and Cape Of Good Films. Apart from Akshay, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen in pivotal roles.

Akshay shared the image on Instagram and wrote, “Proud and excited to bring the story of India’s Mars Mission, #MissionMangal to you. Coincidentally the mission was launched on this very date, 5th Nov. 2013. Meet the team and do share your best wishes for our shubh mangal journey. Helmed by Jagan Shakti.”

While Taapsee, Vidya and Sonakshi have worked with Akshay before, South Indian actor Nithya Menen and Sharman Joshi will share screen space with Khiladi Kumar for the first time.

Made in collaboration with R Balki and helmed by Jagan Shakti, the shooting of Mission Mangal will commence from mid-November.

Commenting on the association with Fox Star Studios, Akshay said, “I am delighted to find a new creative partner in Fox Star Studios and am looking forward to creating a collaboration that will deliver a meaningful and entertaining cinematic experience. With our combined energies, we hope to create content that not only excites but also empowers.”

At present, Akshay is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film 2.0 opposite Rajinikanth. The film marks Akshay’s debut in the south Indian film industry. It is slated for release on November 29.
