That accidents and mishaps happen on a film’s shoot is by now a known thing. The recent accident took place near Haji Ali, Mumbai, on the sets of Mohit Suri’s ‘The Villain’, which stars Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor.

It so happened that for filming an action sequence of the film, the unit guys had got an industrial crane, which broke suddenly. Luckily, no one was hurt. But the only person who suffered some minor injuries was the film’s DoP Vishnu Rao, who was then rushed to Breach Candy Hospital, where he got an X-ray taken and is being treated upon.

Talking about the incident, Tanuj Garg (CEO- Balaji Telefilms) said that the reason behind the unfortunate incident is immaterial to discuss at this stage. He added that it’s nice to know that everyone is safe. Meanwhile, Mohit Suri tweeted, “Completed shooting the climax despite the mishap on set. Back on track and I m grateful to my entire unit.”
