Actor Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par (2007) was an eye-opening film that shed light on many overlooked factors in the lives of our children, such as learning disabilities, academic pressure and even isolation. Directed by Aamir Khan, the cast of the film included Aamir, Darsheel Safary, Tisca Chopra and Vipin Sharma, where the latter delivered a commendable performance as the insensitive father of Ishaan, played by Safary.

In an appearance on Lallantop’s YouTube channel, Sharma talked about his struggles before he landed big roles and shared many stories from the time he was living in the cracks of the industry. Sharma had even given up on acting at one point and left for Canada in the hopes of a more stable life but ended up going to an acting workshop which changed his life. “After attending the workshop in Canada, I realised that there is nothing else in my life except acting, and I can’t do anything else. So I threw all my belongings on the street in Toronto and bought a one-way ticket back to India.”
