The makers of Laal Singh Chaddha on Wednesday released the logo of the film. The short clip shows a feather (just like the one that made an appearance in the original Tom Hanks starrer Forrest Gump) as a song plays in the background with the lyrics, “Kya pata hum mein hain kahani ya hain kahani mein hum” (Who knows if we carry the stories inside us, or we are mere characters inside the story of life).
The video was shared with a caption that read, “Kya pata hum mein hain kahani ya hain kahani mein hum…#LaalSinghChaddha releases Christmas 2020. Presenting the official motion logo of #LaalSinghChaddha starring #AamirKhan.”
Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of award-winning Tom Hanks film Forrest Gump. The announcement of the Hindi remake was made by Aamir Khan on his birthday on March 14 this year.
While Forrest Gump showed the journey of a man literally and metaphorically as he undertook an impossible path, Laal Singh Chaddha will showcase India’s growth in the past few years alongside Khan’s character.
“I have finalised my next film and it is titled Laal Singh Chaddha. It is a remake of American film Forrest Gump. It is being made by Viacom 18 and Aamir Khan Productions. Advait Chandan will direct it. We have bought the rights from Paramount Pictures,” the actor had said at the time of the announcement.
Also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Laal Singh Chaddha will release on Christmas next year.
