Anurag Kashyap is a brave man. Not only did he stand by his vision ‘Bombay Velvet’ when it was being rejected by the audiences at the Box Office and skewered at the hands of the critics, he also has taken upon himself to counter the Twitter-rants by his friend-turned-foe Ram Gopal Varma.

For the uninitiated, the foot-in-the-mouth specialist of the moment – RGV – joined the many people who were taking to Twitter to slam Anurag Kashyap’s recently released ‘Bombay Velvet’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. He called the movie Kashyap’s ‘AAG’ and in a back handed comment, called Kashyap arrogant.

A down and out Anurag Kashyap then took to Facebook and wrote a very long message that said that his experiment might not have worked with many people but he believed in it. He further urged the readers to close the book and move on.

‘Bombay Velvet’ might not have touched you, but Anurag Kashyap’s words would surely do. Read the full story here.

But make no mistake. RGV is RGV and as mentioned by Kashyap in Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee With Karan’, RGV was, not is his friend.

RGV tweeted to slam Anurag Kashyap again, this time in a witty way.

But the ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ director is not an easy nut to crack. He declared his love for the ‘Satya’ helmer.

But little did he know, that RGV has stopped drinking.

So what? They can still celebrate with “filter coffee” (no pun intended).

But RGV seems to have fallen in love with ‘Bombay Velvet’s Kaizaad Khambatta – Karan Johar, for he suggested them to have Coffee “with Karan” and bury the hatchet.

For all we know, RGV, KJo and Kashyap do share a history. While KJo and Kashyap are foe-turned-friends, RGV and Kashyap are friends-turned-foe. Kashyap wrote the 1998 movie ‘Satya’ for RGV and the dialogues for ‘Shool’ after which they had a massive fallout.

KJo and RGV have always had a very fiery relationship where RGV called KJo’s ‘Student Of The Year’ – the “Disaster of the Year”. Wonder what KJo has to say about this.

And while we love this tongue-in-cheek and slapstick banter between the two filmmakers, we also hope that we get the geniuses of ‘Satya’s and ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’s back onscreen. RGV and Anurag, are thee listening?
