A Flying Jatt starring Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez opened at the box office on the festival of Janmashtami. The opening collection of the film is Rs. 7.10 crore. It had mixed reviews. Directed by Remo D’Souza, the film stars Tiger as India’s youngest superhero.
The Flying Jatt also stars Amrita Singh and Kay Kay Menon in important roles. Hollywood baddie Nathan Jones is playing the villain in this film too, which has traces of Spiderman, Superman and Krrish.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the collections saying: #AFlyingJatt Thu [Janmashtami] ₹ 7.10 cr. India biz.
According to sources, occupancy remained at 25-30 percent at most places. The film is targetted towards children and the weekend is likely to bring some cheer to A Flying Jatt.
The film’s Beat Pe Booty challenge went viral and Tiger’s dedicated fan following among youngsters is likely to benefit the film. However, mixed reviews may mar the film’s chances.
Tiger’s last release with Shraddha Kapoor, Baaghi’s opening box office collection was Rs 11.94 crore.

Tiger’s first two films — Heropanti and Baaghi — went on to make good collection at the BO. In fact, Baaghi went on to earn over Rs 70 crore at the box office.
According to reports producer Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that work on a sequel has already begun and he aims to turn Baaghi into a franchise with Tiger as the protagonist.
A Flying Jatt should get the advantage of being the solo release of the week in the days to come. Akshay Kumar’s Rustom has run its course by now and the Rs 100 crore earner should not be a hindrance in the path. Last week’s release Happy Bhag Jayegi has also run out of steam.
