Amitabh Bachchan gave an unforgettable performance at the 26/11 Stories of Strength event at Gateway of India on Tuesday. He paid tribute to the fallen heroes in a performance supported by the artistes of Shiamak Davar Dance Company.
In the performance directed by Anand Tiwari, Big B performed an enthralling act which began with the question ‘Kya sare jahan se achha Hindustan hamara?’ and ended with, ‘Sare jahan se acha Hindustan hamara.’ His performance was followed by a standing ovation. The evening also saw the attendance of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
26/11 Stories of Strength was hosted by film and television actor Samir Kochar who welcomed the celebrities on the stage. Anushka Sharma participated in the event via a video performance. The Sui Dhaaga actor performed a poem by Naveen Chourey that spoke of the courage and bravery of Indian soldiers.
Singer Divya Kumar joined the naval band as he sang “Bharat Humko Jaan Se Pyaara Hai.” Singers Harshdeep Kaur and Shilpa Rao then took the stage to perform songs like “Luka Chhuppi” and “Yeh Honsla”.
Classical musician Mahesh Kale performed Raag Desh and many from the audience joined him as they were enchanted by his performance. Singer Rekha Bhardwaj also made her presence felt.

In a special video, Radhika Apte sat with the staff members of Cama Hospital who managed to save their patients amid the terror attack. Vicky Kaushal also walked through Nariman House with the daughter of late NSG Commando Havildar Gajendra Singh Bisht. The evening proceeded with a performance by violinist Dr L Subramaniam and singer Kavita Krishnamurthy.
The 26/11 Stories of Strength event ended with the performers and dignitaries taking the stage to sing the national anthem.
