The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has on April 22 declared the results for the first and second year and this time too, the girls outperformed boys.
The overall pass percentage for the first year was 53.32 per cent and that for the second year was 62.01.
The Deputy Chief Minister and the Minister for Education Kadiam Srihari had released the results yesterday.
About 4,56,675 students appeared in the first year examination in which 2,43,503 passed. While the pass percentage among girls was 59, the boys was 48.
In the second year, 2,62,245 students qualified out of 4,18,231 students. The girls managed to outshine boys with a pass percentage of 67.64 per cent while boys were at 58 per cent.
Among districts, Ranga Reddy topped the list in the results for both the first and second year. Hyderabad had 69% and 76% results in the first and second-year exams respectively.
In the first year, Hyderabad stood second with 56% while in the second year Khammam was runners up with 66%.
