NTA GPAT, CMAT 2020 registration process begins: How to apply

NTA GPAT, CMAT 2020: The application process for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2020 and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2020 has been started. Interested candidates can apply at the official websites, nta.ac.in, ntacmat.nic.in, ntagpat.nic.in. The CMAT, GPAT examinations are scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

Last year, around 1 lakh candidates appeared for both the exams combined. Of the total, around 60,000 candidates appeared for CMAT examinations, and 40,000 candidates appeared for GPAT.

NTA GPAT, CMAT 2020: Exam pattern

Both GPAT and CMAT are computer-based tests for the duration of three hours consisting of a total of 125 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). For every correct answer, candidates are awarded four marks and for each wrong answer, one mark is deducted. Those who clear the exam will get admission to courses in respective fields. Each college has its own merit list.

Eligibility criteria

CMAT

— Those interested in applying should be graduates in any discipline

IN VIDEO | JEE Main 2020: Exam pattern, eligibility, fee

— Final year students of graduate courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for the academic year 2020-21 can also apply for CMAT online exam.

GPAT

— Candidates should be holding a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates)

— Those who are in the final year of B Pharmacy course are also eligible for apply

— B Tech (pharmaceutical and fine chemical technology)/equivalent students are not eligible to apply.

Last year, the results of CMAT, GPAT examinations was announced on February 6, 2019.
