The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday released the city intimation slip for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to undergraduate programmes. The slip, which carries a unique date sheet along with the name of the city allotted to a candidate, can be downloaded from from the official CUET-UG website (cuet.samarth.ac.inby entering one’s application number and date of birth.

According to the notification issued by NTA late Monday night, a unique date sheet for every aspirant is necessary since all candidates have applied for 54,555 unique combinations of subjects across 90 universities under CUET-UG. “In view of a large number of Subjects, the unique date sheet to every individual candidate has been created… The City Intimation Slip for each candidate has information relating to the Subjects /Language / Medium offered in Slot 1 and Slot 2 as well the date and City allotted,” the notification reads.

Taking note of students having little time between the NEET and CUET-UG (Phase 1) exams to prepare for the additional travel and other logistical obstacles involved, candidates who have opted for Physics, Chemistry or Biology will no longer have to appear for these domain papers during the first phase of the exam in July. They will sit for these papers in the second phase from August 4 to August 10.

Additionally, NTA will start issuing admit cards (for phase I) from 6 pm onwards tomorrow, i.e. July 12, 2022

This is the first time NTA is conducting CUET-UG 2022, which is being organised in nearly 500 cities across India and 10 cities outside India. It is scheduled to take place on July 15, July 16, July 19, July 20, August 4, August 5, August 6, August 7, August 8, and August 10. Nearly 14,90,000 candidates have registered for CUET UG 2022, out of which 8,10,000 have been allotted Phase I and 6,80,000 have been taken in Phase II of the CUET-UG 2022 exam.

Asked about the delay in issuing admit cards, the NTA Director General Vineet Joshi told the indianexpress.com that “the information about the exam centre is released towards the end for security reasons.”

Once the admit cards are ready for release, candidates will be notified on their registered mobile numbers as well as through the email address that the candidate mentioned officially at the time of registration for CUET-UG.  After that, candidates will be able to login through their registered credentials and download their admit cards.
