NTA NEET 2019: The registration for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate medical courses has started from November 1. The medical exam is held for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in India in colleges run with the approval of the Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India.

NEET was made mandatory in 2016 and the eligibility criteria have seen changes. In 2017, CBSE introduced age and attempt limit. After several petitions filed in various courts, the board had to modify its decision. This year, there are no changes introduced:

1) Age limit: The age limit is minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years. There is five years relaxation for the reserved category. The age limit was in news last year as the government introduced the upper age limit which led to massive protest among medical aspirants. After several petitions, the apex court had allowed students above 25 years to sit for the exam.
