A student from Delhi University’s Lady Shri Ram College has been offered Rs 1.4 lakh for a two-month internship. The college registered a growth of 250 per cent from the last year in the internship offers.
In 2015, the highest internship stipend was Rs 40,000. This year, 79 companies offered internships to 279 students.
In the 2015-16 placement season, students from Commerce, Economics, English bagged maximum placements. The highest offer was of Rs 29 lakh per annum, while the average was Rs 6.4 lakh. A total of 112 students were placed.
There was also rise in offers from the start-ups companies.
