Karnataka KCET 2026 Result Highlights: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is expected to release the results for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026, also known as Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (KEA UGCET) soon on their official website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. To check their result students will need to visit the official KEA website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

The exams were held from April 22 to April 24. The exams began with the Kannada language exam on April 22, and ended with the maths and biology exam on April 24. Physics and chemistry tests were conducted on April 23. The question paper comprised of multiple choice questions. Each question carried one mark and there was no negative marking for wrong answers. As many as 3.3 lakh students had registered for the KCET 2026 exams.

Earlier on May 19, KEA had asked students who have qualified their Class 12 from CBSE, CISCE and other state boards to upload their marks at the KEA portal for the result process. Students were requried to provide DigiLocker access and their marks were fetched automatically.

Usually the counselling process for CET is conducted alongside NEET admissions. However, after the NEET question paper leak, KEA has decided to proceed with the KCET result and counselling process. Following a meeting with representatives of private colleges and leaders from the higher and medical education departments, Karnataka Higher Education Minister MC Sudhakar made this announcement.

The provisional answer key was made available in late April for all the 16 paper sets for Physics, Biology, Mathematics and Chemistry. Students were also allowed to raise objections till April 30, 2026. There was no fee for challenging the answer key, students were only required to fill out the objection form on the website.

The final rank list will be prepared according to the performance of students in KCET 2026 and in the qualfiying examination. 50-50 weightabe will be given to marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in both the exams while calculating the result.

KCET Result 2026 Live Updates: KEA recommends permanent ban on Bengaluru college

A probe into the April 23 incident — in which three KCET candidates were allegedly asked to remove their sacred thread (janeu) before entering the exam hall at Krupanidhi PU College, Bengaluru — has concluded that the college staff's actions were intentional, Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner Jagadeesha G said on Monday. 

The probe committee has recommended that KEA debar Krupanidhi PU College from functioning as an examination centre in the future. It has also called for strict action against all staff found to be involved in the incident.

In 2024, a total of 3,49,653 students had registered for the exam. Out of these, 3,10,314 students had appeared.
