Karnataka SSLC exams-2 results: With 98.08% overall pass percentage, Karnataka creates record

The result is also available on KarnatakaOne mobile application and DigiLocker (Representative Image/AI) KSEAB SSLC Exam-2 Result 2026: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) announced the results of the 2026 SSLC Examination-2 on Friday, with the state recording a consolidated pass percentage of 98.08 per cent, a significant improvement over the 80.04% recorded in 2025.
The Exam-2 was conducted from 18 to May 25 across 358 examination centres throughout Karnataka. A total of 49,351 regular students, 18,471 private fresh students, 32,740 regular repeaters, and 2,557 private repeater students appeared for the examination. Of the regular fresh students who appeared, 31,080 passed, recording a pass percentage of 62.98 per cent.
Combining both Exam-1 and Exam-2, a total of 8,18,956 students passed out of 8,79,386 who appeared, bringing the overall consolidated pass percentage to 98.08 per cent. In Exam-1, the pass percentage stood at 94.10 per cent, while Exam-2 recorded 62.98 per cent.
Among students who appeared for Exam-2, 8,393 out of 11,854 regular students successfully cleared the examination. Notably, five students scored a perfect 625 out of 625 marks, achieving 100 per cent results.
On the district front, Udupi topped with a consolidated pass percentage of 99.58 per cent, followed by Bengaluru Rural at 99.34 per cent and Mandya at 99.43 per cent. Bidar recorded the lowest consolidated pass percentage among all districts at 96.69 per cent.
Gender-wise, girls outperformed boys with a consolidated pass percentage of 98.79 per cent compared to 97.35 per cent for boys. Rural students recorded 98.26 per cent while urban students posted 97.84 per cent.
Students can access their individual results at karresults.nic.in, kseab.karnataka.gov.in, or through the KarnatakaOne mobile application. Results have also been sent via SMS to registered mobile numbers. Mark sheets are available for download through NAD Digilocker at digilocker.gov.in. Applications for revaluation, recounting, and photocopying of answer sheets can be submitted through the KSEAB website or the KarnatakaOne app.
KSEAB has reduced the minimum passing marks for students from 35 per cent to 30 per cent this year. As per the official notice, students will now need to secure at least 30 marks in each subject, including theory and internal assessments, along with an overall 33 percent aggregate (198 out of 600 marks) to pass. The government has said that it would not be conducting SSLC-3 (supplementary examination) for the students.
Regular fresh students recorded a pass percentage of 94.10 per cent in the SSLC-1 exam and 63 per cent in the second exam. Their consolidated pass percentage is therefore 98 per cent. Last year, this percentage was 80.04 per cent. In the second exam, boys led with a pass rate of 63.29 per cent, while girls achieved 62.35 per cent.
The overall 2026 consolidated pass percentage is at 93.13 per cent, including both SSLC 1 and 2 exams. In the first exam, 7,60,002 students passed, and 68,802 students cleared the second exam, leading to a total of 8,18,956 students. A total of 603 students were able to pass the KSEAB SSLC exams due to this opportunity and will be thus continue their studies.
As per a press release by the Board, the result was forwarded to students on their registered mobile number by SMS after 4 pm on May 30. KSEAB has opened the applications for photocopy of answer sheets, revaluation and recounting through their official website.
