Karnataka PUC Result 2022 LIVE Updates, 2nd PUC result 2022 Karnataka Highlights: The results of the PU-II or class 12 Karnataka board exams 2022 were announced on June 18 by the Department of Pre-University Education (PUE). At 11 am, the result were revealed during a press conference. Candidates can view their results on the official website, karresults.nic.in,.

The Karnataka PUC II exams were administered in a center-based format between April 16 and May 4, 2022, between 10:15 am and 1:30 pm. Due to COVID-19 incidents, the board exam was postponed last year. This year, however, the Karnataka board exams were successfully held by adhering to all the regulations. The board reported a 100% overall pass rate for the exam.

After the evaluation process, 2,239 students received a perfect score (600/600) in 2021. Over 95,628 of the 6,66,497 students who registered for the PUC exams received distinction scores when their scores for SSLC, IPU, and IIPU were taken into account.

Karnataka 2nd year PUC results 2022 declared: Meet the toppers

Shwetha Bhimashankar Bhairagond and Madivalara Sahana from Ballari district topped Arts by scoring 594/600. Maanav Vinay Kejriwal from Bengaluru and three others topped Commerce with a score of 596/600 and Simran Sesha Rao from Bengaluru topped Science with a score of 598/600.

Schedule for supplementary exams to be announced later this month: BC Nagesh

The Karnataka primary and secondary education minister, BC Nagesh, while sharing PUC 2nd year result details on Twitter, shared that the supplemental examination date will be announced later this month. Candidates need 35 per cent marks to pass PUC 2nd year and those who are not able to do so will have to sit for supplementary exams.

Karnataka 2nd year PUC results 2022: 61.88% students declared pass

This year, a total of 61.88 per cent of students have cleared Karnataka 2nd year PUC exams. For girls, the pass percentage recorded is 68.72 per cent while for boys, it is 55.22 per cent. A total of 6,83,563 candidates had appeared for the offline exams. Of which, 4,22,966 have cleared class 12 i.e PUC 2nd year exams.

How many students are waiting for Karnataka 2nd year PUC results 2022

The Science, Commerce, and Arts stream results will all be released at the same time. In the state, over 7 lakh applicants took the Class 12 board exams this year. From April 22 to May 18, 2022, a number of test centres in the state administered the Class 12 board examination. On all test days, the exam was given in a single shift from 10:15 am to 1:30 pm.

Karnataka 2nd year PUC results 2022: Passing criteria 

Students will need to secure at least 35 per cent marks overall to pass. Those students who will not secure the minimum passing marks will have to appear for compartment or supplementary examinations.

Press conference to begin soon, result link to be active soon

The result will be announced via a press conference at 11 am. Candidates can check their results at the official website  -- karresults.nic.in. Last year, the board examination was canceled due to COVID-19 cases however this year the Karnataka board exams were successfully conducted by following all the protocols. An overall pass percentage of 100 per cent was recorded by the board.

Over 76,000 repeaters promoted in the PUC results in 2021

In 2021, 76,344 were registered as repeaters. Out of which, only 47 got distinction while 1540 got first class and 12209 got second class. As many as 62548 repeaters managed to pass Karnataka 2nd PUC exams 2021.

Check last year's evaluation criteria

In 2021, the Karnataka state government had decided to promote all candidates without conducting examinations, in the wake of the Covid-19 situation. A special evaluation criterion was devised to calculate the 2nd year PUC results. As per the criteria, 45 per cent weightage was given to marks scored for SSLC (class 10), 45 per cent to I PU marks and 10 per cent to the internal assessment marks of II PU.

Over 2239 students scored 600/600 marks in 2021

As many as 2,239 students had secured full marks (600/600) after the evaluation process. Of the total 6,66,497 students registered for PUC exams, 95,628 candidates secured distinction scores as evaluation considering marks of SSLC, I PU, and II PU.

Boys performed better than girls in the PUC results 2021

In the PUC results 2021, boys had performed better than the girls. Of the total 3,31,359 registered, a total of 60,085 boys secured distinction whereas 35,543 girls had secured distinction from the 3,35,138 registered girl students.

As many as 445 students from the Dakshina Kannada districts had secured 600/600 marks in 2021. The Bengaluru south was on the second position with 302 students scoring a 100 per cent result. In the PUC results 2021, boys had performed better than the girls. Of the total 3,31,359 registered, a total of 60,085 boys secured distinction whereas 35,543 girls had secured distinction from the 3,35,138 registered girl students.
