Last year, the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Hyderabad bagged the first position by obtaining a score of 78.86 points.

Additionally, it was followed by Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi with 78.86 score points, who has been in the top position since 2019 and was pushed to second position in 2023.

Third position was secured by the Birla Institute of Technology and  Science -Pilani, Rajasthan in 2023 NIRF rankings with a score of 76.67 points, while the fourth position was secured by JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty receiving a 76.55 score. The fifth spot was secured by the Institute of Chemical Technology, Maharashtra having a 75.42 score.

In 2022, Panjab University had a drastic decline in its ranking from third position in 2022 to eighth position in 2023. This year there is a slight increase as the University is now at seventh position.
