The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi’s Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) has partnered with Nagent AI to launch a hybrid upskilling programme aimed at enabling professionals to create and functional AI agents without the need for coding knowledge. The initiative combines academic guidance with industry-ready tools, aiming to bridge India’s AI talent gap by offering a faster, more accessible pathway to practical AI adoption.

According to a statement from the institute, the programme aligns with India’s “AI for All” strategy, aiming to fast-track AI solutions from research to market. It is expected to benefit multiple sectors, including healthcare, supply chain, and customer service, by enabling rapid deployment of AI agents and reducing traditional upskilling timelines from several months to a few weeks.
The programme comprises 23 hours of training through a mix of online modules and in-person sessions at the IIT Mandi TIH campus. Registration closes on August 30, 2025, and participation is capped at 30 seats. The fee is all-inclusive, and the course is open to working professionals seeking to gain hands-on experience in building AI agents.
Topics covered in the programme include agent orchestration, multi-agent collaboration, agentic prompting, and proprietary data grounding using a no-code RAG pipeline.
Participants will work on capstone projects mentored by industry experts from Nagent AI and academic advisors from IIT Mandi TIH. Learners will also gain access to hundreds of AI models, RAG pipeline tools, and production-grade deployment capabilities through Nagent AI’s platform.
The notice from the institute cites reports that project that India is likely to face a shortfall of over one million AI professionals by 2027, with AI job openings expected to reach 2.3 million. The programme aims to address enterprise demand for rapid AI deployment and help mid-sized firms overcome skill shortages. The no-code AI platform market is expected to grow from $4.9 billion in 2024 to $24.8 billion by 2029, creating a demand for accessible AI solutions.
On completing the course, participants may work on enterprise projects via Nagent AI’s community or build AI agents for their organisations. Selected projects will be eligible for funding of up to Rs 1 crore through IIT Mandi TIH’s “Call for Innovation” pipeline, along with opportunities for industry showcase and certification.
