IGNOU re-extends January 2024 admission registration deadline

The Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU) on March 21 re-extends the last date to March 31, to apply for fresh admissions for January 2024 academic year. Interested candidates can apply at the official website — ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Eligible students can also apply for government scholarships on the national scholarship portal at scholarships.gov.in, after confirmation of admission. Students intending to apply for the IGNOU January 2024 session offered in online distance learning and online mode will now get another 10 days to register for the programmes.

IGNOU January 2024 programmes: How to register

Step 1: Go to the official website – ignou.ac.in

Step 2: Click on ‘Register Online’ followed by ‘Fresh Admissions’

Step 3: Click on the ‘New Registrations’ tab

Step 4: Fill all the required registration details

Step 5: With the login details received on the email ID and phone number, log in using the same and fill in all the details required

Step 6: Select the desired programme, fill in all other required details and submit the application.

Step 7: Submit the form and save the page for future reference.

Things to keep ready for admissions

— Scanned photograph and signature (each less than 100 KB)

— A scanned copy of relevant educational qualification (less than 200 KB)

— Copy of experience certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)

— Scanned copy of category certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)

The application link for fresh admission was earlier set to close on February 29, which was then extended to March 10 and then to March 20, and now it has re-extended to March 31.
