Educational Qualifications and Experience Requirements
–Educational qualifications must be attained by September 21, 2025, from recognised institutions. Office assistants and officer scale-I roles require a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with local language proficiency and computer literacy preferred.
–Officer scale-II positions require specialised degrees and 1–2 years of relevant experience, depending on the field.
–Officer scale-III (senior manager) mandates at least five years of experience as an officer in banking or financial services, along with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in graduation.
–Specialist officer roles within scale-II require specific degrees with professional certifications and relevant work experience ranging from one to two years. All candidates must convert CGPA/OGPA to percentage marks and furnish proof during the document verification stage.
PwBD Reservation and Support Measures
Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) is available for candidates with at least 40 per cent of certified disability as per the RPwD Act, 2016. Eligible candidates can request a scribe and compensatory time during the exam, with proper documentation. The qualification level of scribes is regulated, and specific disabilities are exempt from requiring medical certification for availing these aids.
IBPS RRB PO, Clerk 2025: How to apply
Step 1: To apply, candidates must visit the official IBPS website, ibps.in and select the appropriate recruitment link for either officer (Scale-I, II, III) or office assistants (Multipurpose) positions.
Step 2: New applicants must click “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION,” provide basic details, and generate a registration number and password for future use.
Step 3: Candidates are required to upload several documents, including a recent passport-sized photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and various certificates (e.g., SSC/SSLC, eligibility documents). All uploaded files must meet specific size and format requirements.
Step 4: Applicants must fill out the application form carefully, as critical details like name, email, mobile number, and post cannot be edited after final submission. The state/UT selection for Officer Scale-I and Office Assistants is final and cannot be changed.
Step 5: Payment can be made through various online methods (debit/credit cards, internet banking, mobile wallets). Once payment is successful, candidates should print the e-receipt and application form for future reference.
IBPS RRB PO, Clerk 2025: Application fees
The application window is open from September 1 to September 21, 2025, and candidates must pay the prescribed fee online during this period. For Officer Scale I, II & III posts, the fee is Rs 175 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and Rs 850 for all others.
For office assistants (Multipurpose), the same fee applies, with Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen (ESM/DESM) also eligible for the concessional Rs 175 fee. All payments must be made separately for each post applied, and applicants are required to bear the applicable bank transaction charges.
IBPS RRB PO, Clerk 2025: Selection process
The selection process for CRP RRBs XIV includes preliminary, main, and single Level exams, depending on the post. The prelims for office assistants and officer scale-I consists of 80 objective questions (Reasoning and Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude) in 45 minutes. Successful candidates move to the main, with 200 questions across five sections, to be completed in 120 minutes.
For officer scale-II and III will cover Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, Financial Awareness, Language Proficiency, and Quantitative Aptitude, totaling 200 marks. Officer scale-II Specialist roles also include a professional knowledge section, making it a 240-question exam.
Negative marking applies one-fourth of the marks will be deducted for incorrect answers. Exams for Office Assistants and Officer Scale-I are available in English, Hindi, and regional languages, while Officer Scale-II and III exams are in English and Hindi (except English language).
