Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 Registration Begins
The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) on December 24 has begun the online application process for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026. Eligible candidates can apply through the official portal at htet.eapplynow.com.
HTET is conducted for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government and government-aided schools across Haryana and is mandatory for appointment at the primary, trained graduate and postgraduate teacher levels.
The online application window opened on December 24, 2025, at 5 pm, and will close on January 4, 2026, at midnight. Candidates will be able to pay the application fee until January 5, 2026. A brief correction window will also be available from January 4 to January 5, 2026. The HTET 2026 examination is tentatively scheduled to be held on January 17 and 18, 2026, while the admit card release date will be announced later.

HTET is conducted at three levels based on teaching eligibility. Level I is for Primary Teachers teaching Classes I to V, Level II is for Trained Graduate Teachers for Classes VI to VIII, and Level III is for Post Graduate Teachers for Classes IX to XII. Candidates must meet the prescribed academic and professional qualification criteria for the respective level(s) they choose while filling out the application form.

The application fee varies depending on the number of levels applied for and the candidate’s category and domicile status.

Step 1: Register on the online portal by entering details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID. An application ID will be generated and must be saved for future use.
Step 2: Fill in personal information including address, domicile details, category and bank account information.
Step 3: Select the HTET level or levels for which you are applying.
Step 4: Enter academic and professional qualification details as applicable.
Step 5: Upload required documents in the prescribed format, including photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression and PwD certificate, if applicable.
Step 6: Preview the application carefully and submit it after verifying all details, as no changes will be allowed after final submission.
Step 7: Pay the application fee and download the registration slip for reference.
HTET 2026 will be conducted for three distinct levels, each corresponding to a specific stage of school education. Level I is meant for candidates seeking eligibility to teach Classes I to V (Primary Teacher), Level II is for Classes VI to VIII (Trained Graduate Teacher), while Level III applies to Classes IX to XII (Post Graduate Teacher). Candidates can apply for one, two or all three levels, depending on their eligibility and qualifications.
