GATE 2018: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will close the application process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 on October 5. Taking note that Thursday is the last day, candidates have to hasten to fill the application forms and pay the fees to avoid the last minute server rush.

“Due to last minute rush, the mandatory verification of email and mobile number (before submitting the GATE application form) is relaxed,” the institute said in a notification. It added that students need not verify their email addresses and mobile numbers, though this process needs to be completed later through GOAPS.

Applicants under scrutiny will be contacted through email and candidates may be requested to upload rectified photos, signatures and supporting documents. Candidates can seek corrections in their applications until November 17 this year by mailing the details to their respective zonal GATE office as mentioned in the application.
