If students took admission to a college in the first cut-off list and qualify for a more preferred college in the second list, they will have to withdraw their admission from the first college and apply to the second.
DU 2nd Cut-off List 2021 Updates: The University of Delhi (DU) has released the second cut-off list for undergraduate (UG) admissions today. The cut-off has been released by individual colleges for various courses on the vacant seats. The consolidated list is available at the university’s website- du.ac.in
While a majority of colleges closed admissions to popular courses, hile a few of those reduced the marks requirement in the range of 0.25 to two per cent in the second list.
With University witnessing a large number of admissions of students from the state boards, the university has issued guidelines on the inclusion of subjects from other state boards equivalent to ones taught under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the calculation of cut-off marks.
Over 2.87 lakh students have applied for Delhi University’s undergraduate courses this year. In the first cut off list released by the varsity on October 1, as many as 10 programmes cut-off reached a 100 per cent in seven DU colleges.
A total of 5 cut off lists would be released by the varsity on the official website du.ac.in. Special cut-off lists would also be released on October 25, after the first three cut off lists. Besides, the fourth and fifth cut-offs will be released only if there are vacant seats. The entire admission process is likely to complete by November 16, 2021.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College and Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies had announced a cut-off of 100 per cent for BSc (Honours) Computer Science but after finding no takers, have brought it down to 98.5 per cent. Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College has sought perfect scores for the BCom programme, but has reduced the asking marks to 98.75 per cent. The Shri Ram College of Commerce, which had pegged the cut-offs for BA (Honours) Economics and BCom (Honours) at 100 per cent, has reduced the asking marks to 99.75 per cent and 99.12 per cent respectively in the second list. -- PTI
Among the colleges that had announced 100 per cent cut-offs for a few of their most popular courses, Hindu College, Jesus and Mary College and Hansraj College have closed admissions. There are two vacant seats at Ramjas College for BA (Honours) Political Science, which is why it has not effected any change in the cut-off, which remains at 100 per cent.
Shri Ram College of Commerce has released the second cut-off for admission to two of its most popular courses. For admission to Economics (H) a student should have 99.75 in best of four subjects and for BCom (H) candidates should have 99.12 per cent
The admissions to Political Science (H) has been closed in Dyal Singh College, Hindu College, Miranda House, Motilal Nehru, PGDAV and Zakir Hussain college
In the second cut-off list, Hindu college has closed the admission process on all courses except two. The cut-off for Economics (H) at the varsity is at 99.25 per cent while the cut off for Bcom (H) is at 99 per cent
Ramjas College has released the second list with a marginal drop in the courses cut-off. Admissions to BCom (H) and Economics (H) at 99 per cent while the cut-off for Pol Science (H) remains at 100% in the second list as well
Swami Sharaddhanand College DU has released the second cut-off list with admissions open in all courses except Bcom (H). The cut-off for top courses is as follows:
Economics (H) - 88%
English (H) - 94%
Physics (H) - 95%
History (H) - 92%

Aryabhatta college had kept the highest cut-off for BA (Honours) Psychology among all the courses at 98.5 per cent in the first list which came down to 98.25 per cent in the second list. The cut-offs for BA (Honours) Economics, BA (Honours) Hindi, BSc (Honours) Mathematics saw a one per cent decline to 97, 85 and 96 per cent, respectively. The cut-off for BA (Honours) English and BA (Honours) History, BCom (Honours) have come down to 95.5 per cent, 94.5 per cent and 97.5 per cent, a decline of 0.5 per cent from the list.
The university had received a total of 60,904 applications under the first cut-off list, which was announced on October 1. Eight colleges had pegged their cut-offs at 100 per cent for 10 courses in the first list. Despite the sky high cutoffs for various courses, a total of 36,130 students have successfully completed their admission process under the first cut-off list
The admissions to various courses against the DU second cut-off will begin from October 11. The university will release five cut-offs for admissions to various UG courses.
As per the trends in the cut-offs released by few colleges as well as the number of application received by the colleges for admissions to top courses, it is speculated that the admissions to top courses including BCom (H), Economics (H), Pol.Science (H) might close in top DU colleges

The college had released its first cut-off list for undergraduate courses in September announcing the highest cut-off of 99.5 per cent for Economics (Hons) for students of Commerce and Humanities. St Stephen's College releases a separate cut-off list, which is given 85 per cent weightage, and the remaining 15 per cent to online interviews. Before the pandemic, the 15 per cent weightage was divided between a written test and an interview.
