Pune: DTE begins admission process for engineering, technology

Online registration of application for admissions of candidates will take place from June 2 to 16 and after registering online, candidates have to verify their documents in person at the nearest facilitation centre and confirm their application before June 17.

A day after the results of the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test were declared, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has released the schedule for first-year undergraduate technical courses in engineering and technology admissions for 2016-17. Candidates can apply for it by registering at the DTE Maharashtra website http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in

Online registration of application for admissions of candidates will take place from June 2 to 16 and after registering online, candidates have to verify their documents in person at the nearest facilitation centre and confirm their application before June 17.

“The provisional merit list will be displayed on the DTE website on June 19 and applicants facing any grievance should report at the facilitation centre on or before June 21. The final merit list for all types of candidates will be displayed on the website on June 22. The display of category-wise seat distribution for CAP round I will be on June 22 after which candidates are to submit and confirm their option form for CAP rounds I, II, III by logging in to the website between June 22 and 25. The provisional allotment for CAP round I will be displayed on June 27 at 5 pm and the candidate is to report to the admission reporting centre (ARC) with original documents and a demand draft of seat acceptance fee between June 28 and July 5. Candidates have the option to freeze, slide or float admissions from this year,” said the official release.

Following the confirmation of seats for CAP round I, provisional allotment of CAP round-II will be displayed on July 7 by 5 pm and if the candidates have been allotted a seat for the first time, i.e. they did not get an allotment in round I, they have to report to ARC before July 12 with a DD and documents. The provisional allotment of CAP round III will be displayed on July 14 at 5 pm and again fresh candidates have to report to ARC between July 15 to 18.

This year, a fourth round of admissions will take place for vacant seats though CAP round IV and a list of vacant seats will be displayed on July 20. Candidates who were not allotted any seat in round I, II, III, will have to fill a fresh option form between July 21 and 24.

The provisional allotment of seats for round IV will be displayed on July 26 by 5 pm and candidates are to report to the ARC as per the allotment of round IV with original documents and seat acceptance fee in the from of a DD, between July 27 and 29.

All candidates are to report to the allotted institutes and confirm admission by submitting the required documents and pay the remaining fees between July 28 and August 6.
