NTA CUET UG 2022 Phase IV, Day 2 Shift 1 Updates, 18 August 2022: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the second day of the fourth phase of the Common University Entrance Test undergraduate (CUET UG) 2022. To download their admit cards for CUET UG 2022 phase four, candidates have to first visit the official CUET website — cuet.samarth.ac.in

Day 2 of Phase 4 of the CUET exam once again started with technical glitches at various centres across the country. Many candidates complained that they got information about change in exam centre late. On day 1, a total of 8693 candidates were affected out of 1,45,885 candidates. These candidates will be informed regarding their new date today. As of now, it has been decided that the postponed exam will be conducted on August 25. The list of exam centres where the exam was cancelled can be found here.

According to the government data shared, a total of 3.72 lakh candidates will be sitting for the exam in the fourth phase which will be conducted on August 17, 18 and 20. However, nearly 11,000 candidates from this phase have been moved to Phase 6 (August 24 to 30) in order to accommodate their city preferences.

NTA mails students about postponed exams

Students who had decided to postpone the exam have received confirmation that their exam will now be conducted on August 30.

The NTA has released admit cards for ohase five students of CUET UG 2022. To download, candidates need to visit the official CUET website — cuet.samarth.ac.in — and login with their registered credentials.

Admit card confusion continues

Abhinav Dutt (18) a student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir said he had opted to "retain the earlier intimated city" and push back the exam to August 30.

"I was told my preferred city to give the exam had been changed, and if I wanted to retain the same city selection, I could give the exam on 30th of August. I gave my consent for this. I downloaded the admit card today and it still shows the old date of 17th August, according to which the exam has already happened."

CUET UG 2022 Exam Analysis: Section III covered variety of questions, but rated easy

Section III (general test) mainly focused on static general knowledge. Students said the paper had questions from variety of topics such as quadratic equations, geometry, time and work, time, speed and distance, HCF, Common factor, Trigonometry, BODMAS, Area, Rhombus, Simple Interest, Cone and Percentages.

"Reasoning has a couple of questions on Visual reasoning, other than set theory, blood relations, coding, directions, and analogy based questions," said Amitendra Kumar from Career Launcher.

English section quite easy, experts react

All questions in English section were very direct from the passage posing no difficulty for any student. The paper focused on grammar and vocabulary with four questions each from Synonyms, Antonyms, Figures of Speech, Spelling Error, Para-jumbles, one word Substitution, Analogy and Idioms and Phrases.

"My intimation slip mentioned my chosen city as the exam centre city. However, when I got the admit card, I got a centre which is 150 km away and the entry closes at 8:30 am. I have been trying to reach the NTA but no luck yet," Neha Singhal, a CUET aspirant, told PTI.

CUET UG 2022: Uninformed change in exam dates, faraway centres leave students confused

A senior official of the National Testing Agency told The Indian Express that it hasn’t issued any fresh admit cards after August 13 and hence. “We issued admit cards for the phase starting August 17 on August 13. Congress attacks Centre over CUET cancellations

With “unavoidable technical reasons” grounding the CUET-UG in 13 centres on Wednesday, the Congress attacked the Centre, saying its “sheer incompetence” lies behind the recurrence of the glitches.

“The Common University Entrance Test had to be cancelled in 13 centres today affecting close to 8700 aspirants. This has been happening repeatedly under the excuse of ‘unavoidable technical glitches’. CUET exam postponed at another Delhi centre

CUET papers in both shifts have been postponed in another centre in Rohini. The students who were scheduled to appear for the exam at MD Indrpaprastha Senior Secondary Public School in Delhi's Rohini region were asked to refer to the NTA website, as the authorities claimed that the centre was experiencing technical glitches.

Admit cards for Phase 5 expected today

The NTA is expected to soon release the admit cards for students who are scheduled to appear in the phase five exams, which are scheduled to be conducted on August 21, 22 and 23 for over 2 lakh students.

Rishabh Kumar Mishra (17), from Delhi was appearing for English, General Test, and Accountancy. Although he was scheduled to appear for the exam on August 30, his admit card now shows exam date for today.

"I checked the portal for my admit card today at 7am, but realised that the exam is happening today itself at 9am instead of the 30th of August , and I have to reach the centre in half an hour. The centre allotted was Galgotias University in Noida, 72 kilometres away from my current location."

My exam centre changed from Sonipat to Chandigarh in morning: CUET aspirant

'On 14th, I received a mail that my exam is scheduled for 18th and 25th. Then again on 16th, we got a notification saying we can either choose to give the exam on 18th or postpone it to 30th if we want our desired city as the centre for exam. I chose to postpone it. But today morning when I checked my admit card, I saw that the exam was scheduled for today in Chandigarh. The exam is going on right now and there is no way for me to reach on time,' Himank Nassa, a resident of Haryana's Sonipat region said.(Reported by Harleenn Agarwal)He also added that the admit card is no longer available on the website, and showed proof of his city preferences, chosen by him.

Exam centre and city changed at last minute

'I was supposed to give the exam for a few subjects on the 18th, and while trying to download the admit card, a message on the website said if I wanted to give the exam in my preferred city I could shift my exam to the 30th of August. Till 17th August, whenever I opened the website it did not have the admit card. But today morning the admit card was available, stating my exam was schedule for 18th, in another city,' Navneet Pathak (18), from Samastipur, Bihar said.

Candidates demand retest for yesterday's exam

Many students who had appeared for the morning slot papers on August 17 in RSP Online Processing Infosystem Pvt. Ltd. in GT Karnal Road, Delhi are demanding that their papers for yesterday be cancelled and retests be scheduled as they were plagued with technical issues throughout the duration of the exam.

"The server was not working at all, the computers weren't working. At first, the officials present told us that we will be getting extra time to make up for this. However, later on our papers got submitted automatically and we were not given extra time to complete the exam," Nandini Goel told The Indian Express. She was appearing for Business Studies, Economics and English which were to be completed in 45 mins but she claims they were given only 15-20 minutes. "The same thing happened in General test exam that was to be completed in 60 mins but we were given only 30 minutes," she added.

NTA sends automated calls to students informing them about exam cancellation

Candidates who have slot 2 exams scheduled for today afternoon at Integral University, Lucknow have received automated calls from the NTA informing them that their papers have been postponed. 

"Yesterday evening, at around 8:30 pm I received a recorded call which said 'With due regrets we inform you that your exam for today has been cancelled and new dates will be informed later'. I didn't receive any confirmation mail or text. My friend and I contacted the centre and they said there's no exam scheduled for today so I won't go," said Anvi Singh.

Admit card disappeared from NTA portal suddenly, student claims

"I had opted to write my exams on August 30 in my first preference Shantiniketan. Till last night, the portal stated that I have chosen to give my exam on August 30. This morning, after seeing chaos in social media I checked again and downloaded the admit card which states that my first slot exam is day after tomorrow, on August 20 and the centre is Durgapur, which is 60 km away from my hometown and which I had listed as my fourth preference," Swapnanil Mondal told The Indian Express. He later added that his admit card is now no longer in the portal.

Exam date changed from August 30 to August 17, students allege

"I had chosen Delhi as my first preference city. On August 13, I was informed that the NTA would not be able to give me a centre in Delhi for my August 17 exam and the NTA took my consent to schedule it on August 30. Till yesterday, I was not able to download the admit card and the portal stated that my exam is on August 30. But this morning, I downloaded the admit card which shows that the date of my slot 1 exam was August 17. I am extremely tense and confused," Kripesh Mishra told The Indian Express.

Admit card confusion hits students

Chaos has broken out among students who had opted for the choice presented by the NTA to give their exam in their first preference city on August 30. This morning, some students have received admit cards saying that their exam (which they were intimated would be held on August 30), is scheduled for yesterday, that is August 17.

CUET UG 2022 Exam Analysis Updates: To download their admit cards for CUET UG 2022 phase five, candidates have to first visit the official CUET website — cuet.samarth.ac.in. Then, on the home page, key in your application number and date of birth to login. After that, candidates will be able to see links for city intimation slip and admit card.
