The Class 11 exams will begin on February 16, while the Class 12 exams will start on February 17. The practical examinations for Class 12 are scheduled from January 2 to January 31, 2026. Schools with fewer than 10 candidates will be affiliated with other institutions, as arranged by the council.
After completing the practical exams, institutions must enter students’ practical marks using their login credentials and upload them to the council’s official website, cohsemanipur.nic.in, between January 3 and February 2. The final deadline for uploading practical marks is February 3, 2026.

The Class 12 examinations under the Manipur Higher Secondary Education (HSE) Board for 2026 will be conducted in a single shift, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Last year, Manipur HSE exams began on February 21 with the English exam, and concluded on March 23, 2024, with the elective languages exam — Bengali, Hindi, English and Manipuri. Other than these two dates, the exams will also be conducted on February 27, March 1, 4, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21 and 22.
In 2023, the Class 12 board exams began on February 23 and concluded on April 1, 2023. The COHSEM HSE exam was conducted from 10 am to 1 pm. The practical exams were conducted between April 1 to April 20.
In 2024, the overall pass percentage is 94 per cent. Girl students topped all three streams: Science, Arts, and Commerce. A COHSEM official said, 89.95 per cent of students from government institutions passed the examination, while the pass rate for students from non-government institutions stood at 95.66 per cent.In the Science stream, Riya Khwairakpam of Comet School, Changangei Uchekon, secured the top position with 490 out of 500 marks. In the Arts stream, Keisham Hannah Devi of Enlighten Knowledge Higher Secondary School, Sangakpham, emerged as the topper with 479 marks. Warepam Lidia Devi of TG Higher Secondary School, Imphal, topped the Commerce stream with 463 marks out of 500.
Students from non-government institutions topped the Science and Arts stream, while the Commerce stream was topped by a student from a government institution.
