BSEB Bihar DElEd 2026 Online Form: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the registration deadline for the DElEd Joint Entrance Examination, for admission to the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) programme, until January 9. Candidates can submit the BSEB DElEd 2026 application form at bsebdeled.com.

The entrance test will facilitate admission to more than 30,000 seats across the state. The portal also provides details of the 306 colleges participating in the DElEd admission process, along with their respective seat availability.

BSEB Bihar DElEd: Eligibility

Candidates holding Polytechnic or ITI qualifications are not eligible, except those who have completed vocational Class 10+12, Madhyamik, or Intermediate exams. Applicants must be at least 17 years old at the start of the admission year.

Eligibility requires passing Class 12 or an equivalent exam with at least 50 per cent marks, while SC and PwD candidates need a minimum of 45 per cent. Urdu stream candidates who cleared the Maulvi exam (Class 10 equivalent) with 50 per cent marks are also eligible.

BSEB Bihar DElEd: Application Fees

Earlier, the application and fee payment window closed on December 24, 2025. The registration fee is Rs 960 for General, EWS, BC, and EBC candidates, and Rs 760 for SC, ST, and PwD applicants.

BSEB Bihar DElEd: Passing marks

To qualify, unreserved candidates must score at least 35 per cent, while reserved category candidates (SC, ST, PwD) need a minimum of 30 per cent. Final selection will be based on a merit list combining entrance exam scores with institutional preferences.

BSEB Bihar DElEd: Pattern

The Bihar DElEd Joint Entrance Exam 2026 will comprise a total of 120 objective‑type questions carrying one mark each, with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The paper will cover multiple sections, including 25 questions each from General Hindi/Urdu and Mathematics, 20 questions each from Science, Social Studies and General English, and 10 questions from Reasoning and Analytical Ability.

Candidates who clear the entrance exam will be allocated colleges based on their merit and the choice they opted for in the application form
