After the Physics paper leakage on February 24, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has postponed Class XII Biology examination due to leaked copies of the question paper were found circulating in some parts of the state and social media website.
The council’s controller of the examinations, Jyoti Kalita said, “The Physics paper will now be conducted on March 17 while Biology paper will be held on March 19 at 9 am.”
Rest of the subject papers will be held as per the schedule.
An AHSEC official said that the paper was 80 per cent identical.
While CID probe has already been ordered, the Board has constituted a committee comprising a retired IAS officer LN Tamuli and former academic registrar of Gauhati University Jitaram Dutta.
In this year’s higher secondary exam, about 2,54,860 students are appearing. The results are expected to release in May-end.
