Delhi: Guard injured after man fell on him dies

According to police, Deepak is survived by his wife and children. He had been working at the housing society for the last one year.

A security guard, who was critically injured after a man fell on him during an alleged suicide bid, died Monday, police said. On Saturday, a 25-year-old man and 22-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping off the 15th floor of a building in Ghaziabad’s Raj Nagar Extension, police had said.

Station house officer (Sihani Gate) Sanjay Kumar Pandey said: “As per eyewitness accounts, the victims, Jyoti Thakur and Vikky, jumped off the 15th floor of an under-construction building. The girl jumped first, which created a commotion, following which the guard, Deepak, rushed to the body. After a few minutes, Vikky also jumped, and fell directly on the guard, critically injuring him in the process.”

According to police, Deepak is survived by his wife and children. He had been working at the housing society for the last one year.
