The Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta (IIM-C) was scheduled to meet on Friday to decide on institute director Uttam Kumar Sarkar’s resignation. Sarkar had quit on August 23 apparently over differences with the Board chairperson Srikrishna Kulkarni. However, Sarkar will have to wait a little longer to hear the final word on the fate of his resignation since the Board meeting was cancelled last minute on Thursday night. Apparently, Board members were neither given a reason for cancellation nor a fresh date for the meeting.
