French ‘interested’ in investing in Bengal

French Consul General in Kolkata,Fabrice Etienne,met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to express his country’s interest in investing in Bengal,particularly in the IT sector.

French Consul General in Kolkata,Fabrice Etienne,met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to express his country’s interest in investing in Bengal,particularly in the IT sector.“The state with its enriched cultural heritage has a lot to share with other parts of the world,” Etienne said after discussions with the Chief Minister on a wide spectrum of issues,including potential for business in the state.

Etienne also sought more cultural exchanges with the state. “We have great respect for the renowned film director Satyajit Ray and Nobel laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore for their works. We want more and more cultural exchange programmes with this eastern Indian state,” Etienne added.
