9 BJP leaders in Gujarat’s Dang resign, demand reinstatement of Dashrath Pawar
They pointed out that under the leadership of Dashrath Pawar, out of the 18 seats in the Dang Panchayat, BJP candidates won on 17 and with full majority in three taluka panchayats of Ahwa, Subir and Vaghai.

A day after BJP Dang President Dashrath Pawar quit his post, 9 more leaders from different units of the district sent their resignation to Gujarat party chief C R Paatil Wednesday. They wrote a letter to Paatil requesting him not to accept Pawar’s resignation and reinstate him in the same post.
Pawar had raised the issue of corruption in various government departments in Dang and asked authorities to take action against corrupt officials. After no action was taken despite regular reminders, Pawar sent his resignation to Paatil Tuesday.
BJP Ahwa Taluka President Sanjay Vyavhare, BJP Minority Cell General Secretary Ashif Shah, District BJP ST Wing President Naresh Gavli, SC Wing Vice-President Rahul Barchhav, District Women’s Wing Vice-President Daksha Patel, Ahwa Taluka Women’s Wing President Rekha Patel, District SC Wing President Hemant Khare, Vaghai Taluka BJP in charge Sanjay Patil, and Vice-President of Dang ST wing Tushar Kahre were among those who sent their resignations to Patil.
In their letter, which has gone viral on social media platforms, the district leaders said they are resigning from the party in support of Dashrath Pawar.
Interestingly, several other BJP leaders from Dang also wrote to Paatil with a similar request. They pointed out that under the leadership of Dashrath Pawar, out of the 18 seats in the Dang Panchayat, BJP candidates won on 17 and with full majority in three taluka panchayats of Ahwa, Subir and Vaghai.
Talking to The Indian Express Ahwa taluka BJP President Sanjay Vyavhare said, “I have been working with the Dashrath Pawar for the last 20 years and everybody is attracted to his work style. I was the Ahwa taluka BJP President for 2.5 years and it was Dashrath Pawar who had made me the president of the entire taluka. No other leader in Dang has so much respect as Dashtrathbhai.”
He added, “In the coming days more leaders will resign. We hope Paatil cancels his resignation and reinstates him.”
